Hall Lecture Series
We have a special
program designed to benefit students residing in UCSD residence halls.
• Resident
Advisor Training
We offer special legal education training to residence hall advisors. We know
residents took to their RAs as the source of many types of knowledge. Through
our training sessions, we equip RAs with the legal knowledge they need to assist
or refer their residents in times of legal crisis.
• Lecture
Series
The trial of moving off campus for the first time is one issues that uniquely
faces students living in the dorms. Recognizing this challenge, we team up
with the Office of Commuter Student Services to present a lecture series on
Moving Off Campus for the First Time. Integrating lecture with discussion,
this lecture/workshop
prepares students to find suitable off campus housing.
• Legal Education
Student Legal Services conducts workshops and lectures throughout the academic
year designed to educate students about the rights and responsibilities
that each person has under the law. Members of our office and legal specialist
from San Diego law firms conduct these workshops.
We bring these workshops
directly to the dorm. Coordinating with RAs at the colleges, we design
workshops to fit the needs and interests of a specific college.
