Information for Faculty and Staff

• FACULTY/STAFF ADVISORS TO STUDENT CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS
Student Legal Services (SLS) provides free, confidential legal advice, education and referrals to UCSD students and student organizations. We only provide these services for students and student organizations. If you are a faculty/staff advisor to a student organization, please have one of the student officers/members contact us at (858) 534-4374 for an appointment.

Any student or student organization may bring another party to the appointment (i.e., faculty/staff advisors could attend the counseling session) as long as the student/student organization signs the appropriate SLS confidentiality waiver.

• FACULTY/STAFF WHO INTERACT WITH STUDENT CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS
Faculty/staff members who interact with students may contact C. Anthony Valladolid at (858) 534-6225. Mr. Valladolid is the Director of Student Policies and Judicial Affairs and provides legal advice to faculty and administrators about student conduct and activities.

• FACULTY/STAFF WHO NEED LEGAL ADVICE
Though some of our workshops are open to the entire campus community, we do not provide legal advice for faculty and staff. You may refer to our Legal Links page to see a listing of local legal resources.
